Points Terms
Last updated: May 2026 · These terms govern how Zellio points are earned, held and redeemed.
These Points Terms are a working draft prepared for legal review. They do not constitute legal advice. Zellio Pty Ltd should have these reviewed by a qualified Australian solicitor before publishing.

1. Earning points
Zellio points are earned as follows:
- Members earn 1 point for every whole dollar ($1) of rent paid on time and verified by Zellio
- For Free tier (Zellio Rewards) members, rent-based earning is capped at 3,000 points per month regardless of rent paid
- Bonus points are earned when members complete eligible bill switches through Zellio (energy, gas, internet and additional categories rolling out over time). Switch-based earning is not capped
- Points are credited automatically upon receipt and successful verification of a valid forwarded rent receipt email
- A payment is verified as "on time" when Zellio receives the forwarded receipt email on or before the rent due date associated with your account
- Points are only earned on rent payments and eligible bill switches — not on other fees, charges or levies
- Points are rounded down to the nearest whole point
- Zellio may offer bonus points promotions from time to time. Bonus point offers will be subject to their own specific terms
2. Points balance
- Your points balance is maintained in your Zellio account
- Zellio will send you a monthly email summary of your points balance
- Points balances are not guaranteed and may be adjusted by Zellio in cases of suspected fraud, payment reversal, system error or program changes
- In the event of a dispute about your points balance, Zellio's records are the definitive source and will prevail
3. Redeeming points
- Points may be redeemed for Prezzee Smart eGift Cards at a rate of 5,000 points = $20 (Free tier) or 1,500 points = $20 (Premium subscribers)
- The minimum redemption is one full voucher. Points below the minimum redemption threshold carry over to the following month
- Upon redemption, Zellio will instruct Prezzee to issue a Smart eGift Card to your registered email address
- Prezzee Smart eGift Cards are redeemable across hundreds of Australian retailers. The full merchant list is determined by Prezzee and may change at any time
- Zellio is not responsible for the availability, expiry or terms of Prezzee gift cards once issued. Any issues with gift cards after issuance should be directed to Prezzee
- Redemptions are final and cannot be reversed
4. Activation and re-activation
- Rent-based earning is unlocked when a member completes their first eligible bill switch through Zellio (energy, gas, internet, or any other supported category)
- For Free tier (Zellio Rewards) members, rent-based earning remains active for 12 months from each eligible switch. To keep rent earning active beyond 12 months, members complete one further eligible switch through Zellio
- If 12 months elapse without an eligible switch, rent-based earning pauses. Existing points are preserved and remain redeemable
- Rent earning resumes immediately on completion of any eligible switch. There is no penalty or fee for re-activation
- Zellio Premium ($9.99/month) and Zellio Family ($14.99/$19.99/month) subscribers are exempt from the 12-month re-activation requirement for as long as the subscription is active
- Members will receive notifications in months 9, 10, 11 and 12 ahead of any pause, with information on switching options that may benefit them
5. Points have no cash value
Zellio points are a loyalty reward and have no monetary value. Points cannot be:
- Exchanged for cash or credit
- Used as payment for rent or any other obligation
- Transferred to another person or Zellio account
- Inherited or passed on in the event of death or incapacity
- Subject to any court order, attachment or execution
6. Forfeiture of points
All points in your account will be immediately forfeited without compensation if:
- Your account is terminated due to a breach of Zellio's Terms and Conditions
- Zellio determines that points were earned through fraudulent activity
- You close your Zellio account voluntarily
- Zellio terminates the rewards program in its entirety (with 30 days notice)
7. Program changes
Zellio reserves the right to change these Points Terms at any time including changes to:
- The earn rate (currently 1 point per $1)
- The monthly rent earning cap (currently 3,000 points)
- The redemption rate (currently 5,000 points = $20 for Free tier; 1,500 points = $20 for Premium)
- The minimum redemption threshold
- The re-activation period (currently 12 months)
- Available redemption partners and rewards
Zellio will provide at least 30 days notice of any change that reduces the value of existing points. Changes that improve the value of points may take effect immediately.
8. Fraud and abuse
Zellio actively monitors for fraudulent activity including duplicate receipt submissions, coordinated abuse and manipulation of the points system. Any account found to be engaged in fraudulent activity will have all points forfeited and the account permanently terminated. Zellio reserves the right to pursue legal action in cases of significant fraud.
