We get that. Here's exactly how it works. Zellio earns a referral fee when you explore energy, gas or internet switching offers at lease renewal time. You pay nothing to us. Your property manager pays nothing to us. The people (energy providers and internet providers) who want to sign you up as a customer pay us for the referral — only if you choose to switch. No hidden fees, and no data selling. Seriously — no catch.
What does "unlock by completing one bill switch" mean?
It means exactly what it says. To start earning rewards on your rent, you complete one bill switch through Zellio first — your energy, gas, or internet. That one switch unlocks rent earning, and from then on every rent payment earns automatically for as long as you're with Zellio. We do this because the switch is how we pay for the rewards we send you. One useful switch, then your rent keeps earning rewards every month. We think it's a fair trade.
Do I need to change how I pay rent?
Not at all. Same bank transfer, same reference number, same day. The only setup is a one-time email forwarding rule at signup.
How does Zellio know my rent was paid on time?
Your property manager's software sends you a receipt email when rent is received. That email forwards to Zellio automatically — we read the timestamp and reference number, then credit your points.
How do I redeem my points?
Every 5,000 points earns a $20 Prezzee Smart eGift Card — redeemable across 300+ retailers including Coles, Woolworths, JB Hi-Fi, and Uber Eats. You choose where to spend.
Will my property manager know I've signed up?
No. They know Zellio exists but never see your account, points balance, or personal information.
What is a rent payment reference number?
The unique code you enter when paying rent by bank transfer — e.g. TEN00042. It's on the bank transfer details page of your lease pack.
